The Times and the Washington Post are both rags not worth lining your bird cage with...the thing is, both the libs and the conservatives know that, so we just take it into account when we read it and there aren't as many arguments about it...but to me, you might as well cite the Daily Kos as the Times or the Post.

Why is the Moonie Washington Times so conservative? There's always the tabloidish joke of a newspaper the ultra-right wing New York Post (Murdoch owned, of course) if you don't like the New York Times.

No, they wouldn't be permitted to run a conservative daily newspaper. You know, because of the Hatch Act - any newspaper that slants even a little to the right of the Green or Marxist position gets raided by the police, and their editors sent to prison (without trial) for criminal libel. So that's why the NYT is so liberal - they're scared of what the government might do to them if they publish their true, conservative takes on the day's news.

Because quality award-winning journalists report facts and facts are liberal.
Spin is conservative.
