I used to work cleaning houses after evictions, this one 2 bdrm house the people left everything including their two big dogs behind. by the time we got in to clean it we just rented a 17ft. trainer backed it up to the front door and starting shoveling. 11 trips later the house was finally empty. It was interesting going to the dump. The dump in our area is divided into areas like : re frig, TVs, stoves, paper, wood, metal, water heaters, car tires, yard trimmings, things like that. You have to go to the sections one by one. sometimes it can make for a long day. It was a good thing I was paid by the hour.

hmm i can answer that in so many wrong ways but I will be nice. When I was a kid my dad would take me and my older brother to the dump with him when he had stuff to take. Then on the way home he would stop and get us a slurpee or a rootbeer float from A&W. I remember the glittery looking ball he had on the stick shift of his old chevy. Anyway my answer is yes....

good grief yes! Have recently cleared our garage and I started to be on first name terms with the guys there! Where do I get all this rubbish from and why have I kept it so long? It feels good to get rid of junk.

Yup, I went last week with my boyfriend. He lives in WV and in his town you have to go to the dump and it costs. The day before we went and it was closed early because it was full. I couldn't believe it. This is not only the truth, but can be a real pain in the #ss.!

Keep smiling, not the worse problem in the world... priorities.

I am forever visiting the local tip as they only collect half the recyclables so I take them in every couple of weeks. But now I need to get a trailer for messy stuff as I just got a new car - Yay!

One of my favorite days was when my friend and I took 2 trips to the dump.
We loaded the truck. Roped the door closed where I was sitting, holding the rotted joists. When we got there, we realized---duh!---I couldn't help my friend get the joists down. I was stuck in the truck. 3 men came over and helped us. They kept saying "stupid women!"
We just smiled as they unloaded the entire truck for us. Stupid women indeed!
