ALSO is the only adverb in the sentence. It means likewise and/or too. ("Cotton was used in ancient Egypt and in ancient China, too.")

(adverb is something that explains the verb,in here it is saying were the cotton was used.adverbs usually answer the questions:where?when?how?)

well, there duzent seem like any. aren't adverbs usually with "ly" at the end??
