It has been awhile since I haved gone to a Burger King for a hamburger. I was at one yesterday and I was shocked that they microwave the hamburgers. What happened to the fresh flame broiled ones that they used to have? When did this change?

i believe they start out being flame broiled in the morning, then they are nuked thrue the day, thats why fast food hamburgers are no longer good anymore, only go to burger joints that still grill there burgers fresh for you. mcdonalds and wendys and burger king, have slowly been on the decline all because of that, nobody likes nuked burgers. you would think that they would learn from IN AND OUT BURGERS success all because they still make there burgers fresh

I worked at BK. They are all microwaved, but they're also fresh. No BK burger is kept longer than 10 minutes after being flame broiled. They're sent through the broiler, then kept in a steamer. The microwave melts the cheese and makes it hot. BK did it that way the 6 yrs I worked for them. If the meat tastes different it's probably b/c the company has changed the meat. That happened here.

They still have them here in Nevada.
Burger King wouldn't be Burger King with out the flame broiled beef burgers.

All the ones here in Louisiana still used the flamed- broiled grill thingy. I know they put the hamburger in the microwave to let the cheese melt if it is cold......

Nothing in Burger King has changed. They have always flame broiled their burgers. They have also always microwaved them. They either do it to melt the cheese or heat them up, I'm not sure. I remember as a kid seeing them micorwave them. They did used to be sneakier about it.

I don't know when they changed, but their burgers don't taste the same anymore. Hardee's used to flame cook their burgers too. Maybe they're afraid to allow their cooks to use an open flame. I think you have to be a high school grad in order to work with real fire or it's a liability.

I have never seen them do that at any of my local Burger Kings. I would talk to the manager about it. Maybe it was just that store.
