No. I think it is very unhygienic to encourage animals to wait around the dinner table for scraps. If there are any suitable leftovers at the end of the meal give them to your pets in their own bowl at their normal place.

If you mean like a dog or cat, i would give them scraps of meat and bones... but i wouldn't give them carbs or gravy or just random plates full of food.
People who give them obviously human intended foods are just irresponsible and in the end it will be the animal that suffers at the hand of kindness.

My dog always the last bite of whatever I`m eating and she always has a Sunday lunch. She`s 15 now, so we can`t have been doing much wrong and the vet said a little won`t hurt at her age !

Nope. My vet told me it is bad for my cat to be fed table scraps.

My cat Magz will not eat human food he only likes his cat food and his kitty treats but as for Patches she likes to have a treat from the table every now and then so she gets a little something from time to time as she wants it. They are great cat's so they get what they deserve!

but i like to sneak my kitty some steak when i can :D he loves it!
