What would the affect be of our atoms being bigger that the same atoms of a smaller universe?

its not growing like a person.

The expansion isn't making things get bigger, the galaxies are getting further apart but they're not increasing in size. The size of our atoms is fixed and can't be changed by the accelerating expansion of the universe.

I thought for a minute you just meant would it be a problem because if you just went back 100 years, the chances are you'd find yourself floating in space - that sure would be a problem!
