I Don't Know ... Here are a few things I have considered....

'True Friendship'
(With none of that Sissy Crap!!!!)

Are you tired of those sissy 'friendship' poems that always sound good, but never actually come close to reality?
Well, here is a series of promises that actually speak of true friendship.

You will see no cutesy little smiley faces on this
just the stone cold truth of our friendship.

1 When you are sad -- I will help you get drunk and plot revenge against the sorry bastard who made you that way.
2. When you are blue -- I will try to dislodge whatever is choking you.
3. When you smile -- I will know you finally got laid.
4. When you are scared -- I will rag on you about it every chance I get.
5. When you are worried -- I will tell you horrible stories about how much worse it could be until you quit whining.
6. When you are confused -- I will use little words.
7. When you are sick -- Stay the hell away from me until you are well again. I don't want to catch whatever you have.
8. When you fall -- I will point and laugh at your clumsy ***.
9. This is my oath..... I pledge it to the end. 'Why?' you may ask?, 'Because you are my friend'.
Friendship is like peeing your pants: everyone can see it, but only you can feel the true warmth.
Send this to 'all 10' of your friends, then get depressed because you can only think of four!!! (don't send it back to me...I don't want to hear it!!!) And remember....when life hands you Lemons, get some tequila and salt and call me

I find it hard to be objective (i.e., not subjective) about myself as being a good friend. Many people say I am. I just take their word for it. When I think of a good friend, the word 'integrity' comes to mind.

I define integrity as someone who has moral soundness; in other words, a true friend possesses a firm adherence to a code of moral or artistic values. This essentially implies that he/she is trustworthy, and incorruptible to a degree that they are incapable of being false to a trust, responsibility, or pledge.

A friend who does not possess any of these qualities, is considered to be one who lacks neither sincerity, honesty, nor is upright of character or action.

It's not what I think that matters, it's what my friends have told me over the years. Without exception, they have always been generous in telling me what a good friend I am.

Yes for sure. A friend is someone you can confide in without going out and telling what the other friend said. I am that way , you tell me something and I will go to my grave without telling anything my friend said to me.

..
I think I am.

My friends love my company, sweet disposition, cheerful outlook & natural love for all & always original, confident & optimistic & they feel encouraged when I'm around & they won't even think of missing me.

You are one of my friends. What do you think of me as a friend? Why hearsay?
..

I don't know, but if I had to ask my friend (I only have two) I think they would say "yes."
