Ok xbox fan boys, before you start talking trash i want you to do a little research on the PS3. What does the xbox 360 have that the PS3 doesn't, uhh maybe one thing but i can't think of it right now. But the real question is what does the PS3 have that the xbox 360 doesn't, sorry it might take you a while to list all the things that the PS3 has over the 360.

BluRay has a huge capacity and plays High Definition movies. That's great, but I want to play games not watch movies. I don't play DVDs on my Xbox either.

Xbox Live is what we all play. Online is the future and everybody knows it. I used to use GameSpy on the Xbox but it just didn't measure up to Xbox Live, the subscription is worth it. PS3's online service is the same, and even though it's free you may have problems playing say Madden 07 when EA will require you to 'upgrade' to Madden 08 to continue playing online.

That's one thing that doesn't happen on Xbox Live. You won't get forced to upgrade games, as long as Microsoft gets it's subscription for Xbox Live then software houses won't have to supply servers for online play.

I have both the Xbox 360 and PS3. I think they are both great systems. Hovever, I must admit I play more games on the 360 then PS3. The reason is because the Xbox 360 has a great online network. The 360 has been out longer so it has more games than the PS3. PS3 has the home network coming out, which might make it much better. The PS3 also has true HD and the systems dont tend to break as much as the Xbox 360 does (RROD) . I would have to say Xbox Live is the reason im playing 360 more but that might change when home comes out.

360 at the moment has a better game varity and HALO 3!! As far as the future is concernd PS3 will dominate the 7th gen console war. xbox mite have alot of games now but in a couple years it will be a PS3 world. Every game xbox puts out sony will put out 2 or 3. For now the xbox is the leader in home consoles but PS3 comes with bluray and more space per disc...also you can browse the web with sony. But if your a halo fan then ps3 doesnt exist.

The PS3 is cheaper than the 360. The 360 charges $80 or so a year for online, $99 for a wfi adapter and $60 for freakin DVD-9 format game discs. PS3 charges $0 for online, $0 for BUILT IN wifi and its $60 for sexy sexy bluray discs. I'm sorry was describing bluray as "sexy" a little too "40 year old nerd living in his mommies basement?" Well I'm 21 and living in a nicely furnished attic, thank you very much. But I digress. Assuming that you're going to play the 360 online for more than 2 years, that's $160 extra. Plus the wireless router, plus... oh let's say the elite model since I'm a ps3 fanboy and really want to make my point... that bring the grand total to: $709 after two years. I'm **** at math but that seems about right. What isn't right is paying for inferior hardware from a company that has no business in the gaming industry in the first place. Stick to making crappy operating systems, Microsoft. Stop making crappy gaming systems.

XBOX360 dominates the US-Europe market.

IT has the largest selection of games. Most console specific meaning you cannot buy them for the PS3. It has the largest community online. Great multi player. Great look. Cheap.

Though the 360 is known for hardware failures (which enacted them to establish a 3 year warranty on all consoles)

The PS3 is dominating overseas (along with the WII) in asia. The ps3 technically is a better console. Greater computing power. It has blu ray built in allowing HD movies, plus more game content per disc.

The PS3 has motion control (which is at the expense of the rumble pack) meaning you can yank the control left or right or shake it and it will impact the game play.

PS3 online is free whereas the 360 costs 60 bucks a year.

Honestly, just get a 360. With a wider selection of games, a great online community with multiplayer and store (for buying movies music ect...)

Plus with the warrenty the 360 is a great choice.

I own a PS3. Since buying the system in April of this year I have yet to see any sick games for it. From when Sony released the PS2 in 2001 it was a sick system, all the games came out a year later. Microsoft launched the Xbox 360 in 05 and already Microsoft had a year jump over the PS3. Now PS3 launched in 06 and where the hell is their big blockbuster games? I preorderd GTA IV just to find out they pushed the relased date back till next year. PS3 is sick with its hardware being full HD and all but all their games are comming out way too late. Xbox 360 already lauched Halo 3 Microsofts biggest game on the system and where is PS3 with there games? next year? they pulled the same stuff that Sega did and we all know what happend to them. Xbox 360 with its red ring error that cost Microsoft millions in warrenty repairs but Microsoft is on top of their system. You can even play your own tracks in games like on Xbox wheres Sony with that? I've been waiting to play my own tunes in games and still waiting for the right firmware update but Sony just was plaged with problems on the PS3. In the end Xbox 360 wins this round. With that said I owned every Playstation system including the portable.

firstly, to correct a previous answer, while the 360 is leading in the US it's not doing any such thing in europe where it varies wildly from country to country (In Spain and Portugal, for example, the PS3 is possibly doing better than the Wii.) and with the new model and price cut any day now....
The only things i've ever read people say the 360 had on the PS3 were games (which is rapidly becoming a redundant arguement) and price (you get what you pay for)

I am a 360 gamer, but there are only thing the PS3 has over the 360, is the home service, which you can talk to other people, & you can customize your avatar anyway you want. THATS.IT. PS3 has lost the battle if there's one thing...

...good question though...

PS3 - Overpriced and Blu-Ray is going to be a dead technology in a few years

360 - Technical Specifications aren't as shiny and exciting as the PS3 but the games are better. Dealbreaker? Halo rocks.
