Bill Gates and some of his friends were the founders. The current owners are everyone holding Microsoft stock. Bill Gates probably has the most stock so would have the largest share of ownership.

Well there is not one owner of Microsoft because it is a public company, but Bill Gates is the majority shareholder as well as Paul Allen.

Anyobody with at least $30.00 can buy at least one share and Microsoft will pay him or her $0.44 USD every year forever.
Most people have at least 100,000 shares and they will make at least $44,000.00 USD every year without actually working and they cannot be fired either.
I suggest you to open a brokerage account at Zecco today and buy at least one share of Microsoft each week or more if you can afford it.
