Well I have a Stock HP motherboard shown here... http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00783637&cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&product=3245034&dlc=en&lang=en
And I want to upgrade my processor to this one show here... http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2643933&CatId=2758
The Motherboard compadability does not state it works with quad cores but the FSB is the same...I think the specs table might be out of date but I want to know if they are really compadable.

Help Please.

That HP motherboard is most likely custom made for HP by ASUS (P5BW-LA). It does have the correct socket (775) and FSB (1066 MHz), but it would be safest to confirm with HP if that CPU would work properly. You don't want to accidentally fry it.

go to HP support website and ask the geeks there what your board will support
