I think everyone has at least one band that just doesn't fit in with their music collection. What are yours?
It's okay, I won't judge.

Heh, Abba's a great choice, I think deep down everybody likes them, it's just that nobody wants to admit it.
And Ratt? Even your secret shame has a bit of cult credibility. Kind of :)

Well, I may as well get it over with. I quite like the Goo Goo Dolls. Is it as bad as I think? Remember, we're not judging here.

It's not like you're the only Enya fan or anything. My dad really likes her too...
Does that make you feel any better about it? lol.

I have no idea who Danity Kane is/are, so I don't think I could judge you even if I wanted to :)
Not that I would anyway.

Abba...it's a guilty pleasure.
And thank you for not judging. :)
Edit: LOL - Round and Round!
And RQ - I love Duran Duran, and I'm not quiet about it either. :)
rukrym - the Goo Goo Dolls...the pride of Buffalo, NY! I don't think that's too bad. It's a judgment-free zone here. :)
MachPen! "A View to a Kill" is right on the top of my list, along with "New Moon on Monday". :)

OK - this is kinda embarrassing to admit, but there are a few scattered songs that I've actually enjoyed from Enya. LOL!
OMG - did I just admit that? There's one track from her album "The Celts" which I swear belongs in a David Lynch movie, it's called "I Want Tomorrow"
Sookie - Duran, Duran is not a guilty pleasure :) No shame in that game. "A View To a Kill" and "Save A Prayer" are my favorites! Rock on sista !
edit: yep - "New Moon On Monday" another good one :)
Rukrym - I can bet that your dad is probably still considerably older than me :) So there is simply no excuse for me to be listening to New Age easy listening music yet...LOL but thank you for the thoughtful consolation. There's actually a hilarious episode of South Park where Stan's 102-year old grandfather is trying to show Stan what it's like being old ... so Grandpa Marsh locks Stan in a dark room and plays what sounds like Enya's "Orinoco Flow" backwards ...LMAO! oh man...that was funny

I confess. I love Danity Kane, too.
I actually watched that stupid show. Then I went and bought the stupid CD. Logically, I know it's manufactured pop. I know they'll never make another CD. I get it. But it's really, really, well...fun.
No judgement, right?

rukrym: Since you're not judging, and you haven't had the Danity Kane experience, I found a video link on YouTube, just to give you the full effect of how embarrassing this really is.
I mean, LOOK at them - they're like living Bratz dolls!

It's a good thing you aren't judging because I'd be too embarrassed to reveal this otherwise.
Ratt
Wish I could tell you Michael Bolton, Bette Midler or Barry Manilow but it doesn't get that bad ever.
Abba - ♫ See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the Dancing Queen ♫ :-) (lol)
Funny thing about The Goo Goo Dolls is that when they first started out, they were a very cool band. Had their career ended right before The City of Angels soundtrack, I don't think they would qualify for this at all. Also, Duran Duran is the quintessential 80's band, completely shame free.

I love Danity Kane. I normally don't like that type of music at all, but I did watch Making The Band, and I was really amazed at how strong their voices are. And their songs are fun to dance to when I need to burn off some energy, lol.

OK this is an easy one for me. My tastes are diverse but the one band I have a hard time admitting to liking is..............
The Carpenters. Although they are the epitome of cheese, I often find myself humming the tune to "Top of the World" or "Goodbye to Love" and absolutely loved the If I Were a Carpenter tribute album that came out in the mid-90's. That and Debbie Boone's "You Light Up My Life."

Hmm..
I think the most out of place is Duran Duran.
And she isn't a band, but Madonna.
Love them both.
Edit: Oh and Michael Jackson. I don't care about his personal matters, that man could make some good music.
Further Edit:
Sookie - Shout it loud and proud sista! haha. Duran Duran are very under-appreciated here on Y!A.
RQ.

My style of Music is mostly Dance. Fast and beaty stuff such as all the clubland songs. But I cannot help but be in love with McFly! How cute are they and their songs are great!

O.k, as long as you promise you won't laugh...despite my darker tendencies, I love Bon Jovi, have done since I was about 14 (I'm 33 now). And I know that I shouldn't, but I'm prone to pinching my younger son's My Chemical Romance CD's.
