If you were a man I would tell you to get some balls. But I think the spirit of the notion still applies.

Good luck.

First, don't be afraid of people getting angry at you. It happens. People will get angry with you. You'll get angry with other people. You'll argue. It's part of life, and it's not necessarily a bad thing.

Second, tell him the truth - plain and simple and confidently. But try to tone down the "I hate you" part. Just say "I appreciate your asking me out, but I'm not interested in going out with you." Done. If he persists, ignore him. If he persists, tell him the truth again, but with a friend present to back you up.

If you're scared that his anger or an argument will turn into malicious intent or violence on his part, that's a bad thing - and you'd need more help than I can give here.

Holy Cow! You are not even in a relationship and you hate him and are scared he will get angry. Get over this nonsense and tell him straight out that you are not interested in going out with him. If he gets mad, tough sh^t. If he harasses you, rat him out, and if he persists - charge him. That is why there are laws - and that is to protect us when our words are not strong enough. If you think you owe this creep your attention, YOU DON'T. I find it absolutely amazing that you have missed all the tips and information there is out there for help with abusive relationships - give your head a shake and open up your eyes and ears!!!!!!!

Tell him no and if he gets angry tell him to leave you alone. If he doesn't leave you alone, report him to the police for harassment.
