I know this girl who knew how to make something out of origami, but I don't know what's its called. all i know is that you need many small sheets of paper, folded into the same shape and them you connect them. and the cool part is that you can move the points andthere will be a hole in the middle, and then you can move the points back and there won't be a hole. it kinda looks like a ninja star, but with way more points and it's movable.

if anyone knoes what this is called, or can give me a link with directions on how to make this, it will be appreciated. thanks

it's flat but it you can pull the points and there will be a hole in the middle and if you push the points back, it will look like a star with many points.

There are several names, modular origami being the English one that comes to my mind.
Kusudama is one I came across while looking up links for you, but I do not find many links for that.
Here are some links that may help you to get started.
I did not find the ninja star, but I think I remember it.
I will go on looking and if I find something I will get back to add a bit.

Here is a site for "teabag folding" that looks similar to what you were describing: http://www.origami.asn.au/diagrams.htm

Here is a website that has diagrams, photos and links to other origami sites. You might find it some where here. http://origami.kvi.nl/models/index.htm

If you can't find the exact form as the girl, find one that is just as cool or even better. Show it to her and if she likes it offer it as a trade.

Modular origami. Check out ALL the links on this site. There are some real fun ones: http://home.comcast.net/~meenaks/origami/index.html
Love this site. Who can pass up Bugs Bunny origami or a Wile E. Coyote...but that's just the start: http://www.passionorigami.com/

Do web-searches for "magic star".

I've listed one URL. There may be several variations.
