I would like to add some matters to understand more about the above question. You keep something in your mind and something in your hands, something in your eyes, something in your mouth, and something in your ears.Why you are keepoing the love, affection,God, Happy and fear in your heart and why do not you keep it elsewhere. Please explain now.

Before modern medicine, the heart was thought to be the emotional control center of the body, much in the way that the brain is responsible for thought. This was believed because, in times of extreme emotion, the heart speeds up and begins beating more loudly. So, all the things you have listed above were believed to originate from the heart. While this is no longer literally believed, the imagery is so prevalent that people will still refer to "coming from the heart" and keeping something "in my heart."

First of all, you tell me, where else can you keep love. Love in the world can be to everything, to nation, to some person, to your family, etc. And second thing, God is worth to believe. If you believe it exists, then it exists, and if you don't then it don't. Fear and happiness are worth emotions, they are feelings, You can't actually feel from brain, you do and you have to feel from heart. Try feeling from brain, You will find it ridiculous. So jus know that, there is a place for everything, ad if you know some better place to keep things, please tell me. And yeh, also tell me where do we keep our best memories.

Because it is an organ one feels beating and warm. And feeling this unusual presence on your chest, you attribute it to the first thing you feel. That is why emotions are thought to be there, also the heart reacts differently to emotions.
