I would never again give money to someone begging at my door.. recently I had a guy come to my door, begging for money for milk for his crying baby as his wife could no longer breastfeed, he looked sincere, I felt so bad .. its a long story but I will cut to the chase.. anyhow I ended up giving him 10.00 he came back half hour later asking for 10 more as he said they would not sell a can just a dozen in a box.. this time my radar went up and I offered to drive him to the store, well he said he would be right back after telling his wife we were going.. never saw him again.. So now never will I get duped again.. guess I am kinda soft hearted and this guy was dang good.. Live and Learn huh?

Someone who steals or uses it to buy drugs, or just dosent appreciate it...and I might try to help or guide thier issue somehow but if its not working then I would tell them that they need to go seek financial councelling before I give them anything more. It dosent help to continually carry others for eternity. I have been known to do this but I will not even answer if it is a same old same old grab for xtra cash...A better friend teaches another how to fish instead of giving a fish for a day. :) Take Care.-Rachel.

I do not give money to panhandlers nor will I give money to someone at my door. Too many examples of fraud in both cases have been exposed here, and I always send my charitable donations direct.

I don't give money to people who beg. Sometimes I buy them some food, but more often then not, they don't seem to be happy to get it.
