i mean honestly, you always hear all this negativity about how rappers portray females when REALLY we ( i mean we as in female hip hop dancers, models, and video vixens) portray our own self in these ways? rappers that have video vixens in their videos arent MAKING these girls do this, and prance around in stilettos and a thong, we are choosing to do this.. so why are ppl so harsh and say negative things about the rappers yet they dont say, hey, these girls CHOOSE to do this? idk, this just doesnt make any sense to me..

I also agree with you on this one. Everyone is so quick to point out that the rappers are doing this and that and giving females a bad name or disrespecting them. As if the rappers were making them put on those skimpy clothes. That is truly a matter of choice on the females part. I think that you can be a video vixen and not have to wear those clad, skimpy clothes and you can be portrayed in a very good light if you are willing to step up and say hey, I don't feel comfortable in that. I think that it's just easier for people to point the finger at the rappers and say shame on you, when in all actuality they should be pointing their fingers and the women in these videos and saying you know what shame on you. Where is your respect for yourself? Do you value yourself only for what your body looks like?

It's all about supply and demand. As long as there are video directors who want to put women dancing around wearing almost nothing, there will be women who will do it because they need a job. It may not be their dream job but I can guarantee it pays the bills.

I put the blame on everyone involved. The girls, the directors, the singers, if any one of them said no this is not going to happen, it wouldn't any more.
