I've had Virgin Mobile for a while now and I'm getting sick of it. I want a phone with usage that I don't have to spend $20 dollars on every week just to be able to use it. I wanted to get Cingular and their $60 dollar plan but I dunno about the billing. I don't have a credit card and someone told me the only way to get a phone with a plan is to have a credit card. Is that true?

Not true, you do not need to have a credit card to get Cingular. They will ask for a State ID #, social security #, address, home phone etc. If they pull a credit report and you do not have sufficient credit, they will ask you to put down a deposit which is refunded to you after 1 year of service with them.

I have cingular and you get billed just like other cell phone companies.... you don't have to have a credit card. The $60 per month plan is actually more than that - as with all companies - due to all of the taxes & fees they charge.
