Congrats on the arrival of your daughter!
Some babies don't like having their nappies changed! As long as she hasn't got nappy rash and there is no obvious cause for her to be crying then thats likely all it is.
My 10 month old son HATES having his nappy changed and will squeal and thrash about and try to crawl away from me! Its really hard work.
You've checked it with the midwife and presumably she doesn't think anything is wrong so maybe your little one just doesn't like being changed!

Just think if you were wet and you were covered while you were wet, and then someone took off the wet thing. All of a sudden you are cold. That is why she is crying, she is cold. Even though she is wet, she is a warm wet. You know how it is when you get out of the shower. You are cold right. I would not worry about it. As soon as she figures out you will put her nappy back on, she will stop crying. Congratulations on that new baby girl. Just love her. I sure do miss those days. I wish I had them back. Just have to wait for more grandchildren.

My three week old was exactly the same, he would be ok until we tried putting his fresh nappy on. Then scream the house down!
Its only been in the last week that he's calmed down. Apparently though, screaming during nappy change is normal and affects LOTS of babies. My friend's baby was exactly the same! All you can do realy is put up with it.

Hi Mike. My daughter who is now 7 weeks this wednesday, absolutley hates having her nappy changed. She screams th eplace down and I am sure my neighbours think we are killing her!LOL. SOmetimes though she can be ok. It just depends adn try making sure that the temp of the water you are using with your cotton wool , is warm enough and not cold. Sometimes too if you use wipes, these are too cold. Good luck and persevere, it is normal. my friends daughter also used to scream when being changed.

My daughter who is 28 was the same way. she turned out to be a very private person and extremely modest. I too couldn't understand why she screamed bloody murder when I changed her but I knew babies and felt secure, she was my 2nd. But it is interesting that she turned out to be so private. !!! most likely if your baby is healthy in every other way she is fine, try putting a warmed blanket over her chest and as much of her as you can so the cold air doesn't shock her, I just say this on a new born baby video Good luck

My son did that sometimes. He outgrew it. Now he just wants to go go go....we practically have to hold him down to change him.
I also read somewhere that if you talk to them all the way through it and tell them what your going to do ie. I'm going to take your diaper off...I'm going to lift your bum...lets put a nice clean nappy on etc. that's calming and they become familiar with the routine.

Its no longer undesirable, yet no longer my style. i in my view do unlike Rayne as a recognition yet Avah is powerful. do no longer in uncomplicated terms like the spelling with the 'h' even with the undeniable fact that. Ava remains greater perfect even even with the undeniable fact that that's uncomplicated. Avah Jasmine, Ava Riley, Ava Rebecca, Ava Holly in uncomplicated terms some different concepts.. ultimate of luck

Congratulations on the birth your little bundle of joy!
Some babies really dislike being changed - they don't like to feel their legs flail about, outside their control. Try confining her legs a little while changing her - she'll quickly grow out of it anyway.

it can be that your baby just feels vulnerable without comfort of nappy. One of mine did but it didn't last long. I remember people saying it was good for babies to lay without nappy but we had to wait a while before she appreciated it !
