Additive inverse just means the opposite sign.

i.e. positive ----> negative

So the answer would be 7.8

The additive inverse of a number is the number you add to it to get zero as your answer. For example the additive inverse of -5 is +5. So what do you think you add to -(7.8) to get zero?
