If people stopped posting their life history on here then the cranks wouldn't have any ammunition. If users want to talk about personal stuff they should email each other or use a chat forum.

I am interested in current events and the endless 'questions' that aren't questions at all but personal messages are outside community guidelines.

I;m sorry to be so negative but I am 56 and as I read the newspaper about who gets honors for this and that and I've lived here for 34 years, was a public school teacher, it kind of sums up the world's attitude, "Its all about me" I'm not saying everyone is like this, but the big corporation are trying to get all they can and the world is run by popularity and greed, You really can't believe anything. Example: There was an International Race. USA took first and USSR took 2nd, USSR went home and in big headlines put: "USSR takes 2nd place bravo bravo bravo" but what they failed to say was there were only 2 contestants so actually they LOST ! see how very easy it is to use words !!!!!!!!! So much of what we read, hear and see is just kiss butt, hang in there, sorry, I used to be a polyanna but life has taught me some hard lessons and I feel extremly sorry for the younger generation because at least I had the 50's and 60s when people still cared and the majority were NOT RUN BY GREED !!!!!!!!!

I don't particularly because most of them are strangers but, having said that, I certainly don't wish them ill. Too many people nowadays only think about themselves. They feel that they can say and do what they like and are amazed if anyone takes exception. It is one thing not to want to be involved on the cyber network but quite another to stand back and watch people being bullied, particularly if you like them and have got to know them quite well. Like Wendy, I come from a generation which which behaved slightly differently.

If it involves people's private lives being talked about and broadcast to all and sundry, then I think that this sort of thing is disgusting. What goes on in people's private lives should be no concern of anyone else's (hence the word PRIVATE.) This is essentially a forum where people keep their true identities private, which should allow people to contribute without fear of backbiting or people discussing other people and that person's problems. If it's a matter of someone being bullied by someone else, then I care about the bullied person, because I've gone through this sort of thing myself, and I know how bad it can make people feel. The forum shouldn't be used to enable someone to victimise someone else, and it's terrible that this sort of thing goes off.

Well there's a surprise, Barbie talking about herself for a change.

Is there a medical term for someone who considers themself constantly to be the victim when they are in fact the perpertrator...

Sorry Mr Paisley, I digress, I personally am not the slightest bit interested in other users personal issues and unlike some people on here don't expect anyone to be interested in mine.

What??? you mean none of you are actually interested in my recurring veruca and nasal hair issues. You mean that when I asked for advice about my cockroach infestation and admitted that Im on bail for growing catnip illegally in my bathroom and you all sympathised, that you were lying????? How cruel. Who am I going to get support from now that my boyfriend has run off with the milkman because I asked him to sort the washing out into stained, non stained.

weep, sob sob

Well I don't know anyone in person so I am only here to answer their questions and try to help them out with a query they may have. As far as personal issues goes, that not what Y!A is about. §

er Elvis, not sure if you realise but this is only a message board.

We are not at the AA, or any other group come to think of it.

Why would you care if my armpits were infested by the fleas of a 100 dead horses.

likewise, I would not care if you walked sideways due to a crab infestation.

I would not want to hurt anyones feelings, but at the same time, I am not going to hang my self because someone on here has the runs.........
