I like this question very much because I think it's very interesting to read people's reactions. I think the pics are a little creepy or whatever, but I think it's funny how some have such a strong reaction to bugs and spiders. They are only creatures that provide a function in the natural order of the world and yet people get so freaked out.
They just are what they are. Even beautiful in their own way. We are the ones who make them gross or something to be afraid of with our judgements of them.

1. Tarantula- I hate them. They creep me out. I never want to touch one. They're ok if they're in a display cage.
2. Potato Bug- These guys are pretty cool and harmless. I worked with them in a biology lab; I just observed them, handled them, tested their reaction to different types of foods and drinks (stuff like wheat, milk, orange juice). They helped me get an "A" on a lab, so I can't complain. I have no problem with them.

I love Tarantulas! Soft, furry, and graceful! I had two of them as pets for a long time. Oddly... ordinary house spiders scare me to death!
But, Potato Bugs always make my flesh creep! They're among the ugliest bugs! They just kind of lie there and slowly squirm around. ugh!

Tarantula's are fascinating and a bit scary- I've had one crawl up my arm- it was a friends "pet" but the higher it got the more creeped out I became!
Potato bug looks crunchy and icky.

I would step on the Tarantula if it startled me but crickets and potato bugs don't bother me.
