okay i know there are alot of questions on here about platys being pregnant but i cant figure mine out yes there is a male in take i got her about a month ago and she keeps growing (her belly) she looks huge almost too big for her body she has a brown line going all the way through her belly i cant quite tell about a gravid spot sometimes i see it sometimes i dont and the last few days shes floating head down tail in air can someone please look at these and give me insight the 1st picture from 2 weeks ago and you can see how huge she gotten http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb229/misty4866/picturesgermany2134.jpg

yes, your platy looks definately pregnant
You can't really see the gravid spot, because it's orange in color or sometimes deep red, unlike guppy's where it's the most of the time black but can also be yellow, depending on the color of the fry

To me it dosn't look like shes pregnant. If fish are pregnant you will be able to see their gravid spot clearly and they probably won't be floating had first. Also they don't get quite that big.

hmmm i'd say she might be pregnant, but you don't see the spot 'cuz the fry inside is still developing.
you see them have spot when it's almost or ready to deliver.
