My son did a little trick or treating at 10 months and again at 22 months. I've never filled his head with superstitious nonsense (including religion) so he's always been firmly grounded in reality and when I tell him it's just a costume, just a mask, just makeup he believes me and doesn't appear to be very scared. If you're doing the former, trying to do the latter strikes me as disingenuous since you actually do think there might be real monsters out there, so I'd keep him at home in that case, since he probably spends a lot of his little life confused and scared to death. Otherwise, have fun!

I don't think he's too young , if you try to avoid super scary houses. Also, I don't think that people will be mean enough to play scary tricks on him if they see that he is that young. So I say go for it!!

If he goes, make darn sure you go with him. I mean being right there, not hiding in the bushes or something like that. If you do go, take a good flashlight for each person and take pictures.
