I am writing an original fiction, and I need to mention at least one cure for Vampires to make them human again. Does anyone know of one? I know that there was one in an episode of Smallville, but I don't know what they said that particular cure was.

One of the key elements of horror attached to vampire mythology is that they are doomed, there IS no going back. Even if they despise what they are, they must submit to their lusts and can never be redeemed.

Traditionally, there was no cure because you had to be DEAD to become a vampire and the only way to stop being a vampire was to be destroyed. However, some modern films and TV shows had other ideas:
1) NEAR DARK - get a massive blood transfusion
2) FOREVER NIGHT - drink from your lover and not kill him/her (worked for Janette, but not for Nick)
3) DARK SHADOWS - have your life force drained into a Frankenstein Monster (Barnabas & Adam)
4) ANGEL - get destroyed as a vampire and resurrected later as a human by Wolfram & Hart (Darla)
5) DRACULA - (Langella version) Destroy the vampire sire before the newbie vampire drinks any blood (Lucy)
6) FRIGHT NIGHT - Destroy the vampire sire before the newbie vampire drinks any blood (Amy)

There isn't a cure. Once u become a vampire, u will be one for the rest of eternity!! Nothing effects them either (garlic, sunlight, stake in heart,etc.) There r more than one kind of vampire also, there r the "bloodsucking" kind, but they don't have 2 drink human blood, they can drink animal blood, and there r the "energy-drinking" kind, they don't drink blood they suck the energy of the people around them.

The episode of Smallville is Thirst, and the cure involved green kryptonite.
