I mean If I don't know you, why would I want to know about your sex life?
There is a girl I work with like this. Her answer to this question is that I am a lesbian and it is ok to talk to me about her having sex with guys because I don't.
Meow?

I think that she isn't having such a great sex life at all. Mabey she doesn't even have a boyfriend too. Most people who talk like they are getting some are usually just big mouth people who live in a fantasy. I would act as if I didn't hear her. She will get the message.

Probably because gay people are generally preoccupied with sexual thoughts, and she just figures you must be some sort of an authority on the subject! But since having sex with another girl isn't in her realm of thinking, she is confiding in you with her man-issues because she figures you're "safe". She knows you're not going to use anything she says against her to go and steal her man - or men - away. A lot of straight women will do that if given the chance, you know.

Don't really think I would be discussing my sex life with anyone at work unless they were a really close friend. I find that it is not really professional but with that said maybe she feels like she can use you as a sounding board because you are not going to be judgmental about her actions. If it bothers you that much, ask her politely to stop because it makes you uncomfortable or change the subject whenever she starts.

Tell her that you don't care about her having sex with dudes because you're a lesbian and you'd rather hear about two girls getting it on than anything but if you don't want to hear anything sexual coming out of her mouth tell her to shut the hell up and go away.

Thats stupid! I hate it when my friends tell me about their sex life. Straight OR Gay, it doesn't matter. What they do in the bedroom, stays in the bedroom. What I do with my boyfriend, stay's between me and him! Tell her to just shut up about it, or find something else to talk about.

She sounds pretty clueless and classless. Which is the usual reason people engage in overly personal chit chat.

Everyone knows someone like this. They just like to run their mouth and brag, and become condescending sometimes. Tell her that she is being disrespectful, and politely ask her to stop. If she continues, tell her to stop being so intolerant and do what you feel is necessary.

It's okay to be proud but going around telling people stuff that's none of their business is really stupid and just annoying.
