Tough question. That "ignorance is bliss" thing is cool, but I want knowledge weapons against the ignorant. The degree of knowledge is ,of course, situational. I don't want to be too smart here or too dumb there. To quote the great Martin Mull:" I'm only as smart as the woman I'm with, if she's a dunce I'm stupid at once. I'm flexable."

Ignorance is a bliss, but this would be a fake type of bliss. When you are an intelligent person, you are obviously happier and you know it. I've been both, I guess kids could be called ignoramuses... it was nice back then, but it wasn't challenging enough and you dont grow as a person if you an ignoramus.

The ignoramus will probably be "happier", whatever that means...BUT will miss out on much of the richness and texture of life. Not all of our experiences in our short time on this earth are meant to be happy. There is value in all experience, and as such, may also be viewed as "happy" if one will but choose to deem it so. ♥

The ignoramus,no doubt. We don't have a choice though.
Being ignorant may be a gift but they have to have the informed to assist them.

My 5 year old nephew likes when my husband flips him up around and over his head. It's amazing how much energy they have.
