The federal government is limited by design, which is why the Constitution is a brief, concise document.

Some are.. like FL, which allows amendments to their Constitution to be brought up by the citizens (with petitions) to be voted on in an election... thus the Constitution becomes cluttered with stupid stuff that should have been handled with stupid laws instead... a law is much easier to change or get rid of than a Constitutional Amendment.

because they are trying to weasel out of the federal constitution as far as laws go so they can make more money. as time goes on, our freedoms are gradually taken away from us. the states are just as bad as the feds. one amendment after another. history repeats itself. the governments get to greedy and powerful, and then theres a revolt. look at how it is today. we have no control over what happens.

They are a lot older and did not have the advantage of a committee of philosophers and thinkers and gentlemen scientists as we did for the US Constitution.
