'Awsome' suggestion Bill but do you think those Yamsters are even listening? Do they care about us real hockey afficianados? or anybody else save their own agenda? I suspect not.
(sorry for the cynicism but lately I have just been overwhelmed by Y!A's stupidity)

Without a doubt, they should have their own categories. What I would suggest is starting a new thread in the Suggestion Board and have everyone you know from the hockey category post their opinions. We can keep booting it to the top of the list until one of the Yamsters indicates that it has been read. If nothing comes of it in a month or so, just do it over again. It takes time.
Click on the word "Forum" at the top of the page here. Its where the words Home Forum Blog appear next to the Help link.
I just saw a thread hit the top of the Suggestion Board and a Yamster indicated that they read it.

Y!A doesn't listen, I have suggested that to them multiple times.
I would also split ice and roller hockey from each other as well, giving 3 sections.
