My freind has to go to Nairobi for a funeral, he will only be there 3 days, is it compulsory to get inoculations, and is it worth it for such a short time, he will never be going back again

No vaccinations are required but yellow fever is recommended. Because Nairobi is at such a high altitude, malaria is not an issue. Nairobi is quite safe and clean.

For the African culture particularly the East Africans it is very important to go to a burial. Weather or not he goes back there again. If he is Kenyan I doubt it very highly that like you said never goes back there. Sorry Africans have very deep roots with there home land.

he should get a yellow fever shot and malaria prophylaxis atleast he will be fine thereafter tell him to extend he may want to stay longer its really beautiful
