Try counting back from what the item cost to the amount of money given.
I mean - if you buy something that cost 57p and you gave £1 then when the change is given back think "57p, 3p makes 60, then 20p is 80p and another 20p. is £1."
Nobody ever seems to do this nowadays, but it was always done with old style tills. Now the till tells how much change is due and the assistant just picks that amount from the till and hands it over without checking it.

You need to practice learning how to deduct any number from 100. If I say 37, you should be able to say 63.

Then you need to learn what combinations of coins make up each number.

if i understand correctly, you have difficulty in making change when someone is paying at a cash register. if this is the problem you need to be tutored in math so that you can add and subtract "in your head".
