Who make the rules saying that swear words are so bad?

So bad, kids have to be spanked when said, or bleeped out on tv, or have kids eat bars of soap for punishment after saying them??

I understand what your saying, but im asking, WHY WHY WHY???

No particular groups made the rules but society and convention. You don't have to blame anyone in particular. Religion ultimately dictate the dogma and customs of why this is right and that is wrong.

When you are an adult you will understand. Little kids that swear every other word are as annoying as kids with screaming fits. Its just crude and also comes off as the person is too dumb to have a real vocabulary.

Ok ok, this is why i think why why why it is that way.
The government makes the rules when it comes to bleeping them out on T.V.
The Government also says that soap in the mouth is child abuse
I have no idea who made the rule that they are bad in the first place. Probably a hundred years ago some Church because you can't say god damn it because that is a sin, or go to hell, and since those were then probably all swear words were just grouped in that category of sinful words and made inappropriate

It is fairly annoying to listen to people who can't speak three works without cussing twice. On the other hand I find those who make blanket statements about it being low class or reflecting a poor vocabulary to be just as ******* bothersome.

Much of it stems from being an elitist and needing to look down your nose at the common folks who use common words, as if it is somehow better to use some euphemism or Latin derived word than an Anglo-Saxon one.

But sometimes you need something particularly shocking to drive a point home.
