Me and my now ex girlfriend dated for 4 years. 3 1/2 of those years, we had unprotected sex with a "if it happens, it happens" attitude. For about 3 months, we actively tried getting pregnant. But it never happened (and good thing too) We broke up 2 months ago (and had sex 2 months ago). Then she started to see another guy and from what she's told me, had sex many times (but used a condom). That lasted from last month to about a week ago. Well, we had sex again 3 days before she took a pregnancy test that came out positive, and her last period ended sept. 12. What do you think the odds are I'm the father?

Well, she could have planned on having sex with you so you would think it was hers and even if she wouldnt do that type of thing, I would not worry myself and take the test to know for sure. Dont be fooled, but be responsible.

Wow. there's a lot of info here, and it's hard to get it all straight. So, ok. Most women find out they're pregnant between 6-8 weeks gestation. But, that would mean she would've conceived the baby 4-6 weeks ago. Usually when they do the initial first ultrasound of the baby, it will give you how far along she is, and what the aprox date of conception is. They do say that there's a window of about 2 weeks around that date also. It's hard to tell. I think if she slept with both you and this other guy, a paternity test is going to be the only way to tell who fathered the baby. DNA testing can be done as soon as she is 10 weeks pregnant. I'm not sure how they do it. but it is a possibility while she's still pregnant. The chances of getting pregnant without a condom breaking are very slim, but like I said, a paternity test in this situation might be the best and only way to tell. I hope this helps.

You will never know untill the baby is born. She may not be telling you the whole truth about the other guy, but the fact that she has had a period since you last had sex doesn't necessarily mean the baby's not yours. I think it depends how you want to play it. I would advise be supportive but cautious. Depends on how you feel about her. But definitely get a DNA test when the baby is born, regardless of whether you get back with her, etc. as you need to know for the baby's sake and because of any medical history

A paternity test is a definent. Condoms arent 100% effective. I got pregnant using one. But from the dates you are listing I would say the other guy has a higher chance of being the fater. How far along is she? That would answer your question.

You're supposed to wait atleast a week before you can see the results of the first result pregnancy test. I would say no, but I think you're going to have to do a DNA test. Unless you want to get back together with your girlfriend, and you're willing to support the child even if it isn't yours.

Good luck!

I believe you are not the father. She couldn't have gotten a positive after having sex three days before. I'm pretty sure is not yours.

BTW, did you ask her how far is she? And then post the question again and you'll receive a more clear answer.

If she was sleeping with you and 1 other fellow chances are 50/50 that you're the father. Get a paternity test!

It's possible that you could be the father, but you won't know for sure unless your get a DNA test done, after the baby is born.

It's entirely possible that you are the father. You'll just have to wait for a paternity test.

Don't fall for it until you get proof, she is not your girl anymore and you don't want to be taking care of someone else's child unless you really love her and you want a baby. Good luck, hope all works out for you.
