Rajin, you cite something that headlines, US Tightens Medicaid eligibility? And its from last year.
So if it makes you all feel better, we are no longer taking care of innocent babies up to a year.

That was last year. The Schips program is not Medicaid.
It is in fact designed for lower middle income children who find the rise in insurance too steep to afford it. It is a subsidy program, not one where the government is a direct payer, it is to be funded with a 61cent a pack tax on cigarettes and is expected to cost 35 billion over five years. To put that in perspective it costs ten billion a month for the war. So we get five years of help for working peoples kids for the cost of three and a half months of war. And that's if we all give up smoking. You may not think its worth it, but I do.

I believe every living being is entitled to good health and should not have a price tag on it.
I get Medicare and private insurance and still pay thousands. I'd hate to see someone die for lack of funds.
