Hello Morris B ,

Yes. The mother and any other fish in the tank will eat the fry unless you can isolate them.

If you can isolate them for their own safety you will need to feed them using proper fry food.

You should go to you local aquarium shop and get their advice and the correct food.

I recommend a professional aquarium shop rather than a pet shop as they are likely to know more about your fish and their needs.

The mother will NOT eat them. Guppies have some sort of chemical/ scent in them so the mother knows which ones are hers and will not eat them. Any other guppies (or just any other fish) that are not the mother will eat them though. I'd recommend seperating them anyway.

yes she will, the guppies need a place to go to get away from her, maybe a seashell that they can swim into. They sell mesh wire that you put the pregnant mother into and then when she gives birth you take her out, that is really the best way to go. However that is too late for you, so just give them somewhere to hide that other fish can't get into.

Probably, unless they have lots of sea grass to hide in. You can buy a guppy nursery that will prevent mom or other guppies from canabalizing the babies.

It depens on the mother. if she is well fed and she has had babys before then she probably won't eat them. Make sure there is a good place for them to hide or put them in another tank. There are little boxes you can buy that you put on the edge of your tank that the babyies can live in so that they won't eat eaten.
