I mean, think about it. It's inevitable. Nobody is exempt. And sometimes, death can be a welcome relief from pain. Most people who believe in an afterlife seem to think that it's going to be much better than this earthly life.

So why, when we're faced with death, do we try so hard to avoid it? Why do we try to postpone it for as long as possible?

Because it's unknown...uncharted territory, so to speak. Of course, reading about NDEs helps, and those who have experienced them have no fear of death because they already know what awaits.

I think that there are more people than just Christians who fear in death as most people know not what happens when you die and therefore they fear it .We are now living in a spiritual dark age and it is a major crisis at this time but we are now entering a new age where the brotherhood of all humanity will be known and where death will lose its grasp on all humanity as we all begin to understand ourselves as souls.

I'm a religious person, and even though I believe that Heaven is there, the thought of leaving the people I love behind and not experiencing the things I want to, like marriage, and raising my own family scares me. I'm sure that once I've lived my life I'll be ready to go to God, but right now I like my life, and I don't want to leave the love of my boyfriend and family behind just yet.

I think that if you believe that you are going to heaven, you have no fear of death. It is only those that don't know this that are really afraid. I remember before I became a Christian I would hardly ride in a car because I knew that if I were in an accident and die, I would go to hell, but I did not know at that time how to get to heaven. A couple months later I met a lady who told me about Jesus and knowing Him and the assurance He brings about going to heaven when you die.

Death represents the Unknown. While we all have our own beliefs about what happens after that, until it actually happens it's all just a belief. None of us really KNOWS for SURE what's going to happen, and they fear the uncertainty. We are used to this life......it's all we have known so far, so we try to hold on to it.

Who Hates Death, and Fears it? Only The LOST who Have no Hope Of a Heavenly Home and Presence with God. If you know Jesus and He Lives in your Heart, You have a Win-win situation! Post-pone it? Why?When you get my age, You are looking "forward" to It. Most Christians are looking forward to it, Because we Get Home-sick for Heaven! That is where OUR Citizenship Is..........(smile) "God Bless You all"

Goodbye’s are never easy especially when you don't know your destination. Like a 5 year old being dropped at school for the first time; afraid of the unknown.

Death is only misunderstanding LIFE. The human concept is that we must die to Live! Confront every concept that you have ever had. Discover the essence of the LIFE that you possess, and death will be shown to you for what it is, NOTHING! LIFE is Eternal!
