Did you think they would get further than they did? I really thought they would disappoint much further down the road. I actually feel a little bad (Sox fan).

I wasn't stupid enough to "expect" a world series or anything like that, but we were the best team in the NL playoffs. There is no reason they should have been swept. But when you don't pitch or hit, you're not going to win.

Once they lost the first 2, i thought that they were done.

Getting swept did not shock me.

I tried to root for them, but they just do not have what it takes to be a GR8 baseball team.

White Sox fan here as well.

They were unworthy to carry the torch handed to them by the 2004/06 Cardinals and the 2005 Astros. They were given the division by Milwaukee and St. Louis in September and pissed it away in October.

Here's to 99 seasons and counting!

I feel so bad today! I am a devoted fan and i Really believed they were such a Great team this year. I did not see them make ANY effort to even score points! I was stunned last night (like thousands of fans) And this morning it really hit me hard. I feel like i just came from a funeral!

The Cubs simply are not used to winning. The Phillies do not have the killer instinct.
Oh, well. Wait "til next year.(Didn't we saythat a year ago?))

They just didn't have enough to get through the NL playoffs. Bring aboard A-Rod & a starting pitcher & they will be one of the favorites next year.

I honestly thought they'd lose to Arizona but didn't think they'd get swept.

I don't feel bad for them anymore than anyone else who lost.

the cubs' big hitters didn't step up for the team, so better luck next time for the cubs.
