In line with Dropping Knowledge's question about producing enough food to feed everyone in the world..?

Im not much in to politics but when I read his question and some of the answers I just got curious.

So what of the population thing? Say everyone was fed, what do you think would happen, how do you think the government would handle it, and what are your thoughts on it?

if everyone were given a handout and properly fed, infant mortatlity would decrease, people would continue to breed at alarming rates, thus requiring MORE food handed them until all resources were exhausted. one major crop failure, and there would be famine on a scale never witnessed before and utter chaos would envelop the poorer nations and perhaps the entire world.
it's sad, but only logical that this would be the outcome.

The problem stems from the fact that, The wealth of the world lies in less than 1% of the populations hands!!!!
