I've just read a story in the NOTW Sunday magazine about a 36 year old man who suffered 'cyber-bullying' by 363 students at Kent university. A hate site had been formed on Facebook where these kids had signed up to say how much they wanted to kill this guy. The only thing he had done was tell people to be quiet while they were in the uni library where he worked as a noise patrol officer.
These kids parents thought their offspring were getting an education and all the time they were finding new ways to make someones life a misery. In the worst possible way.
So far the man has received an apology from four of the eight ringleaders. No one has been punished and the sight has been shut down. Not Good Enough!! If any of these kids were mine I'm afraid I would be withdrawing any kind of funding I had provided towards their education and they would be shown the door. Simple as. The internet may be a wonderful thing but in the wrong hands it is the worst invention ever.

The entire incident sounds completely childish! It is hard to fathom that 363 young, supposedly intelligent people had the will to participate in such a worthless pass-time. They obviously have no personal lives or opinions worthy of listening to. I think everyone is right when they say the parent's had not instilled in them, respect for others. These kids are not ready to move toward the future! I hope they realize, very soon, how fortunate they are and begin to focus on worthwhile causes. Hope someone told them to GROW UP!

I actually hope they learn a lesson from the experience though. Following the crowd and not thinking about it is often wrong.

If mine did it they would be in big trouble. But I doubt they would.

In my experience people who stand for what is right are often the ones that don't get back up. Baddies seem to often get the upper hand. People often fear bullies and will follow them. I know they do in chat rooms on line, for fear of being at the end of the persons wrath themselves.

Yet another case of so called reponsible employers letting their employee down when he is trying to do a job on their behalf.

It is one of the resons wht this country is going down the tubes.
The governemtn enters politically motivated trials against its armed forces. A policeman is censured for called a theif a rude name when he catches him red handed. A reporter is sacked for reporting the truth but with some very mior errors in it. Need I go on?

That's just awful, the poor guy. God, what kind of people are we bringing up in this world lately? I'm sorry but I have to say it... I blame the parents! lol
