This is a review question for a test I'm taking on Wed. and I have been trying to figure it out and no one can help me..if you can help me please go through it like It's the first time I'm learning it cuz I really don't know how to do this, so the more work shown the better...thank you so much!!!!!!

*perpendicular lines have opposite and reciprocal slopes
* y=mx+b

so, your first line has slope m = -(1/3)
this means your perpendicular line will have slope of +(3/1) =m

now that you know that, use y=mx+b to solve for b using the point given (0,2)

2 = 3(0)+b ....... b=2

so, now we get the equation y = 3x+2

m1 = - 1 / 3
m2 = 3
y - 2 = 3 (x - 0)
y = 3x + 2 is required line.
