Thanks for the info .This looks like a neat web site .I put it on my favourites. They are right, we have a lot more things to stimulate our brains. Just look at us here. We are communicating with others around the world, and becoming more adapt ar using the computer at the same time!

Kayboff...my own parents being a case in point--my father only had a Grade 4 education, when he was pulled out of school to help full time on the farm. And my mother actually went to Grade 8 before the same was done to her. It wasn't thought "needful" that GIRLS go to high school in those days. But seeing as she wanted to get into the war industry, and they required a high school diploma for the women, she went to a special school and got her high school equivalency in just a few months. It was the proudest moment of her life up to that point. She did much better than girls 10 years younger who had some high school education the natural way to fall back on.
Now, you will not find many seniors who did not at least finish high school as a matter of course. And most of us have gone on to a post secondary education in some way through the years.
So, yes of course, we are smarter. Even if we are also dragons (in disguise :)

Smarter than who or what? I'm fairly smart, I think, but compared to what other than myself? lol....As I look back my grandparents were plenty smart and in many ways smarter than I am today in that they had expansive 'survival' talents and tools.

seniors got more wisdom than other people because they went through more than us, which we are more likely about to go through in our life

of course we are smart older people in the past did not get as much schooling as we did

i knew that all along,there is no problem w/ us,so where is the problem? i belive its misunderstanding our age group to the younger age,we want there age,and they want our wisdom
