To love is to put the health, welfare and happiness of someone else above your own.
Think of Moms. The love for a child is indescribable. Most mothers would do anything to prevent harm from coming to her child. A Dad would face life in prison without thinking about it if he saw someone harming his child. To love your wife or husband means taking your wedding vows seriously - even though sometimes you are challenged.
Sex is not love - it is hormones. Sex with love in marriage is a "high" to be achieved.

There are many kinds of or different types of love. Here is an interesting fact about the English word love; in the English language there is but one word describing all forms of love; love. In the Persian language there are 50 different words all pertaining to or describing “love!”

Love is an emotion that can only be felt between two people. It's a good feeling, but can not be totally described, because it's too good to be explained. When you are without it, you want it. Love can hurt to teach you lessons, and it can make you the happiest.

My opinion on love is when you dream about that certain person every night and when you wake you wish you could fall asleep again just to see there face. Also when you cant stand to be away from them and you painfully want to see them, and you will do everything in your power to make them happy even if whats making them happy is killing you inside. When you are in love you know you are when that person does not talk to you for awhile you die a little inside!! :)

It's trust & commitment. Trust that the person will do the right thing for the right reason for the betterment for the both of you. Committing your mind (mentally), body (physically), & soul (emotionally) & financially to one person. That's if you're talking about personal relationships versas family.

to me love is having a strong passion about someone that makes u want to be with them at all times, and makes u feel protective aver them like they were your family, or part of your sol.
