finally someone said something about nashville! YES LAST NIGHT THEY WERE BOOING HIM AGAIN!!! NASHVILLE HAS THE WORST GROUP OF FANS EVER!!! RAIDER FANS HAVE THE MOST CLASS COMPARED TO THEM IGNORANT FOOLS! THEIR PLAYERS PLAY LIKE ASSHOLE ALSO!

the reason he is booed is because of the stick to the back he gave tootoo following his check to modano..this for which no penalty was called because of what followed obviously.. i do agree that he deserved to get recognition for his accomplishment that night... but lahockeyg is right-- this is done for team spirit and just plain rattling the player intended and its done EVERYWHERE.. isnt tootoo booed in big d? was he just supposed to let stefan just railroad him?
robidas -- he got what was coming to him-- plain and simple..you go messing with the bull;.....well you know... i just wonder if robidas would have landed a punch first would that have been called a cheap shot?
its hockey-- not basketball .. i was an ISKA kickboxer for 4 years and tried roller hockey 2 years and the contact in hockey was more intense at times.. just play the game, take your licks or go home...
VINCE-- im guessing youre a dallas fan so lets just say this can be a good blood rivalry in the future.. modano is great, ill be the first to admit that .. this will really burn your @ss though as it did mine-- LAST NIGHT INSTEAD OF THE STAR SPANGLED BANNER, GOD BLESS AMERICA WAS PLAYED INSTEAD--i guess to keep the stars fans from doing there thing.. many call their shouting "stars" during it classless but i see it as team spirit-- nothing more.. even pred fans were outraged and let it be known during the postgame radio show... this city is full of class; this is just a loyal and rabid fanbase; though small that is fighting for all its worth for its very existance..

I assume you are talking about the Nashville fans booing last year when he broke the all time American born goal scoring record. The simple fact of the matter is it was classless and followed a classless night by the organization. Stephane Robidas is sucker punched and is out 7 games with a concussion on the powerplay resulting from the hit Modano scores the goal. The fans were being brats who showed zero class. A few months earlier at a stars home game Mark Recci scored his 400th career NHL goal and the PA announcer addressed the crowd and mentioned the achievment. In Nashville nothing of note.

They probably boo him because he is good. That happens to a lot of players...like Pronger, etc. Nashville is no different from any other hockey fan...some have class, some do not. A lot of hockey fans are crazy and act crazy at the games...that is just part of hockey. You can let it bother you or you can not let it bother you...why would someone who is a no class moron bother you anyway? It happens everywhere.

Apparently, a majority of Preds fans need to grow up and get some class. Hockey players check others all the time, and many times the check goes unpenalized. So why boo one player for it? Jealousy. Modano is undeniably one of the best American born player, and closing in on being the leading American player pointwise. If the immature Preds fans want to boo someone, they should boo their reflection.

I once read a column regarding a Nashville fan yelling at the ref to give a red card to a Sharks player. I think that pretty much sums it up.

Depends if we're talking fans in Dallas I have no idea but if we're talking about fans in any other arena you might think of it as a badge of honour. They don't need to Boooooo your lousy playerrs now do they?
