Life begins at conception - when the egg and sperm meet. I have heard people say life begins at 'quickening', the moment the heart starts beating.

None of the choices you list is right. Life started about 3.5 billion years ago and living cells started dividing in a continuous stream right down to the cells in your body today.

Please think about this for a while and you will realize that a sperm is life, an egg is life as is every single other living cell in your body and in the world.

Okay, buddy, how did life start 5 billion years ago? I mean, seriously, have you not read or heard anything proving against evolution? For real, even Charles Darwin discovered that he had the wrong theory, and he thought up the whole thing!

Anyway, the first one's correct.
