I'm a senior in high school. I played football my freshman year and I really liked it. Unfortunately I had to get a job and help support my way around the house so I couldn't join the following three years. I want to play again in college though, and I know if it was ever possible I'd have to do ridiculous amounts of training to get in shape. I guess the real question is, is it too late? And if not, what steps should I take?

your best bet is to find a junior college or a small college maybe not known for football and try out there. then if you are any good you can transfer to a better college. its never too late.

Well, from reading your story. Seams like your head is on straight. So im assuming your grades are well? Maybe a year or so at a JUCO college as a walk on player. Team will have a training program. If grades are good and a Divison A school is in your budget then walk on there. But JUCO is the way.If your good,Div.1 school will take notice. Good Luck either way though.

its not to late but you will have trouble getting on a team unless your great try to go to a division 1-aa or 2 or 3 team. Luke Swan of the Wisconsin Badgers is a perfect example he never played football only with his friends and he walked on his junior year he got a scholarship and now he is captain

Well, it would be tough...but nothing is impossible...You have to work out and make sure you're in playing shape since you haven't played in 3 years...Then, practice...A LOT...You're bound to be rusty...
