No. It should be decriminalized. It should not be up to government agencies to tell people what they should or should not do with their own bodies. Even if marijuana is a "gateway" drug, drug use is up to the individual. However they need to also accept the consequences of their actions. if their drug use leads to criminal behavior, then they should be prosecuted without using their drug use as a mitigating excuse .
The government needs to stick to the constitution and stop trying to legislate morality.

No. Long term marijuana use has been shown to make permanent changes in your brain cells. It doesn't kill the cells, it changes them. It is being linked to mental health diseases like schizophrenic and paranoia.
I don't think it should be handled like a criminal offense unless you sell it, but a mental health issue instead. I get tired of seeing kids who are naive begin to use it. You can almost instantly see a personality changes overnight. The shiny positive soul changes into a negative bleak person. It is sad.

Yes. For those who want to call marijuana a "gateway drug": what exactly do you think is so dangerous about a plant! Try cigarrettes & alcohol as gateway drugs, & these are LEGAL!?

Yes. It should. It doesn't take much observation to see that pot is a much more benign "drug" than the harder drugs, than even alcohol and tobacco.

Our society seizes peoples property, denies them their livlihood over this?

It's a disgrace to a nation that holds itself up to the world as a model of personal freedom.

It should be legalized everywhere. It is far better than alcohol and we should focus on drugs like meth and crack.

No, I believe it does lead to harder drugs. We don't need any more substances that help us lose control, we are barely in touch with reality as it is.

No, because then the government wouldn't make as much money.

Let's be serious. We need more drug money to make bigger rockets to blow some **** up.
