1. Fuerte de la Navidad, Hispaniola
"On November 22, Columbus returned to Hispaniola, where he intended to visit Fuerte de la Navidad (Christmas Fort), built during his first voyage, and located on the northern coast of Haiti; Fuerte de la Navidad was found in ruins, destroyed by the native Taino people, whereupon, Columbus moved more than 100 kilometers eastwards, establishing a new settlement, which he called La Isabela."

2. South America

"The fleet obtained water on the south coast of Trinidad, and in the process sighted the coast of South America, the first Europeans to see that continent.

3. The Crown

"The first group of 500 slaves were shipped back to Spain in February of 1495. Others that were enslaves were used for the colonists living in Hispaniola as labor. The colonists were encouraged to go on raiding parties to capture more slaves (Dor-Ner 215). It didn't take long for the Crown to ban any slavery from the New World. That didn't stop Columbus from sending them home though. During the years 1495 and 1496 all of Hispaniola was subjugated
It was finally realized by some people that what was happening was going against the Crown"
