I don't trust Ebay - my dad's had numerous problems with what people say and what they actually have. The problem with fetal heart monitors is that the baby moves and it makes it harder to find a heartbeat. Think about how long it takes the Doc sometimes to locate Jr.'s heartbeat in office.

Why do you need a heart monitor? It's great to be able to hear the baby's heartbeat I admit...but having trouble finding it can be quite distressing for no reason. As for being able to tell when the baby may have a problem...well it's not that great either unless you're hunting for the beat everyday. I heard my baby's heartbeat on a thursday (it was normal) and lost the baby at home 2 days later in my 2nd trimester. Even the Dr told me at the appt that hearing a heartbeat didn't mean that nothing was wrong.

Sorry I can't be of help. Maybe call the hospital and see if they rent dopplers (what the Dr uses). If nothing else it would be at least as accurate as that.

The rented dopplers are like the doctors...That is your best bet. Those bebe sounds dont work too well.

if you can feel baby move daily there is no need to hear its heartbeat you wouldnt know if anything was wrong anyway, save your money for when baby is born
