No they do not mean the same..
Destined to fail literally means that a path taken, without change, failure is inevitable.
Doomed to fail means no matter what the person does, they will fail.

common usage is:
Doomed to failure
Destined to fail
The first refers to the individual, it portends that no matter what, this person will always fail. Al Bundy felt himself doomed to failure and called this "the Bundy curse." It implies that some outside force is causing the failure.
The latter refers to the task at hand. It's a predictor that an individual is destined to fail in regard to some specific task because of identifiable causation. "Because John never came to class, he was destined to fail from the start."

Doomed to fail and destined to fail are 2 different things. Doomed to fail doesnt really make sence, destined means your gonna fail.

Doomed to fail shows that there is no chance of succeeding; this is what will happen so face it. Destined means that this is what's supposed to happen, you can overcome. There is still hope for you, because your destiny may not come true.

Saying "doomed to fail" is redundant, because to say something is "doomed" immediately implies that it will fail. That being said, I'm not sure if "doomed to fail" is gramatically incorrect, but it is certainly not as appealing as the traditional phrase of "destined to fail."

They both mean the same thing basically. However destined to fail just sounds better. Both are grammatically correct, however.

'doomed to fail' is the commonly used term but 'destined to fail' is much better to hear.. you see, 'doomed' is negative, and 'fail' is also negative... but, it sure sounds correct either, only the word 'destined' is appropriate..

Obama (needs to resign NOW!) claims the terrorists are our friends now (well his anyway) and the only people that Obama (needs to resign NOW!) knows how to finger polk is the American taxpayers, he has been doing us since he took over (you must have felt a pain down there by now) anyway he will be fingering us 100 years from now, because that is how long it will take to pay off Obama (needs to resign NOW!) waste and spend packages currently up to 6.4 trillion dollars last I heard, but it might be higher I have heard he asking for more and it is estimated that by the time he completes his first year he will have spent nearly 13 trillion dollars. Out of the 2.5 million jobs Obama (needs to resign NOW!) claims will be saved or created the last count is up to ZERO! Are you feeling that finger now?
