I want to clarify the question im driving from nh to michigan im only gona b in cana da for about 3 hrs max I need to know if you need a driverslicense and a birthcertificat for the adults or a d.l is ok

Do you know how big Canada is? Driving through Canada without stopping isn't an option.

Right now you'll need a birth certificate, or a state issued photo ID. After Jan 1, you're going to need a passport, and your children can be listed on your passport, or they will need one of their own.

When we took our son into Canada we went to the DMV and had him get a state ID, it's make things a lot faster at the boarder.

Generally, you need proof that they are your children, ie, a birth certificate for each child would be handy.

I don't understand the whole "not stopping" part of the question.

you will need ID such as birth certificates or passports...
by 'not stopping', I presume that you are driving to Alaska ?
