68.7% of high school graduates attend college but less than 1/3 of the population has a bachelor's degree or higher so a full 1/2 of those college students never graduate. (US Dept of Labor, 2005) By gender, more women (70.4%) than men (66.5%). By ethnicity, Asians attend at a much higher rate (87.5%) while Hispanics are the lowest (54.1%)

A pet peeve of mine: "kids" don't go to college. College is an adult activity, "young adult", but adult none-the-less. Consider, college students are the same age as many of the soldiers and Marines getting shot at in Iraq. These aren't "kids" and neither are the equal aged college students. I suspect that the college students who accept their adulthood earliest and begin "being" adults are the same students in that half of college students who graduate. ☺

lots of ppl make bad choices i went to collage and now im happy!
